• Commercial Underwriter specs This position is based inhouse and the role is very administrative and customer service orientated. Minimum Requirements: • Matric • Minimum 60 Fais credits • 3-5 years commercial underwriting experience • Able to work accurately and under pressure • Competent on Microsoft office • Excellent communication (verbal and written) • Self motivated and driven • Customer orientated • Excellent Organisational and time management skills • Ability to show initiative • Positive and professional attitude

Duties: Underwriting/processing of new business, cancellation of policies, renewals and amendments on the Tial system. Assisting clients with queries/quotations. Credit control. Other general office duties. Ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Ensure service levels are met.

• Senior Underwriter

We are looking for a senior lady underwriter with a minimum of 15 years commercial underwriting experience with at least 5 years management experience.

The successful candidate must have the full 150 credits for short term insurance and particular experience with the underwriting of heavy commercial vehicles will be an advantage

Key Performance Areas
• Compiling of underwriting reports
• Liaising with brokers at an executive level
• The rating and development of new products with brokers
• Computer literate and confident with Microsoft word
• Loss ratio reporting and tracking
• A good understanding of reinsurance
• Understanding and practice of FAIS compliance
